Recruitment Policy
Hillsong Church London as a registered charity has charitable objects to work with children and young people between the ages of 13-25 years, with many vulnerable adults, and many of the beneficiaries are disadvantaged and vulnerable. To safeguard their welfare you will be required to undertake a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check, or an enhanced CRB check for those working directly with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults. A satisfactory CRB disclosure document will need to be received by the Church prior to any employee or volunteer working unsupervised and depending on the employment position may be a requirement for employment.
In addition to the CRB process every employee will be required to provide two references including a character reference and if at all possible, a professional reference from the most recent employer. A professional referee must be a previous line manager or someone more senior within the organisation. If a reference is not provided from the most recent employer please provide reasons why this is not possible. For those that have worked with young people and/or vulnerable adults before and it is not the most recent employment they will be required to provide an additional referee for that employment, again this must be a line manager or someone more senior within the organisation.
It is a genuine occupational requirement that many individuals employed by Hillsong Church London are practicing Christians, whose lifestyle is in keeping with the ethos, statement of faith and the aims and purpose of the Church.
